Healthier Drink 3 : Carrot Soup
Hello Friends!!
I have specifically chose this topic during flu period to give some insights to the people to take care self and extended family. These Booster drink are very much useful to function the immunity in our body and fight against any type of disease. I am going to give a topic called "Healthy Drinks" which covers fresh juices,milkshakes,soups,traditional drink(Kashayam) etc., If I am going to post any of the drink in our blog will have the title "Healthy Drink".
Why Carrot Soup?
As we all know Carrot has many health benefits and rich source of Vitamin A which is beneficial to human eye. Those who are diet freak can intake this carrot in any form in any one of the meals a day. It has rich source of fiber,protein and much water content. It is said to have antioxidant property which fight cancer disease. Boiled Carrot a day for kids will be helpful building a healthy human body in future.
I have detailed a carrot soup receipe which is healthier and tastier as well.
Step 1: Ingredients
Carrot - 1 cup sliced
Onion - half sliced
Garlic - 2 finely chopped
Ginger - 1 small slice finely chopped
Butter - 1 tsp
Fresh cream - 2 tsp (optional)
Pepper - on choice
Salt - to taste
Step 2 : Making process
1. Add Butter to the pressure pan and start adding ginger,garlic. Saute for 1 min.
2. Now add the onion and saute for 5 mins till it half golden brown.
3. Add Sliced Carrot to it and saute for 2 mins.
4. Now add required water and close the lid and allow it to cook as per your cooker.
5. After whistles done take the ingredients into mixer without stock in it. Blend them to mixture.
6. Now in a pan add this mixture and leftover stock and allow it to boil.
7. Add fresh cream to it which is purely optional.
8. Sprinkle pepper powder of your choice and salt to taste.
PS: Fresh cream can be prepared from lactoderm (also called "malai") which is formed after boiling the milk.It is called "Paal aadai". Collect it whenever you get and Store it in air tight container(in freezer). whenever you want take it and blend it in mixture. Fresh cream is ready. Don't need to go to store to buy.
