All the receipes penned here can make within 30 minutes.

Receipe No 4:

Wheat/Gothumai puttu

This particular type of puttu dish I came to know after marriage. My hubby's Grandma prepared the main ingredient broken wheat with salt added and gave it to us to store it in container. (Let me know in the comments if you need this receipe).

If we have this readymade broken wheat then the other steps are easy to make. Come lets get into the blog. This is very healthy snack for your kids during evening time.

Benefits:

Wheat are whole grain ingredient and rich in fiber and carbohydrate. Since this is steamed food(oil free) and good for health.

Below are the ingredients:

Preparation Method:

1. Take the broken wheat(Gothumai) in bowl and sprinkle water in it. Keep aside for 10 minutes to soak. (Do not over add water if so it becomes kali).
2. Take the pan and roast the nuts available with ghee.
3. Take the steam container(Idli cooker) and transfer the mixture from bowl to Idiyppam plate. Cook for 20-25 minutes in a medium flame.
4. After cooked, place it in bowl and add sugar/Jaggery , Grated coconut, Cardomom powder , roasted nuts into it.

The snack is ready.I am sure kids going to ask you the next time if you make this dish.Other six receipes are in list and do check for preparation method. If you like this blog leave a like and share it with your friends.
